Saturday Shroud run

Hello all!! I wanted to bounce this request off some of you to see if this might be feasible...a Shroud run this Saturday the 25th. Here's the thing though, I'd really like to craft at the second set of alters. I realize this goes against Shroud etiquette but I don't want to complete the Shroud until the level cap is raised and I got a Greensteel Longsword that totally needs upgrading. I have the ingredients but will my guildees have the patience? Please post your response(s) so that I can see if what I'm asking is out of line or if there are others looking for second tier crafting. Cheers no matter wh

Hello Tylek. During Shroud runs, X has been waiting to complete the raid until everyone that wants to bail has a chance to do so. I don't think it would be a problem waiting until you had a chance to craft your longsword and then bail first. This would of course be easier if the group was entirely made up of X members and not PUGgers, but it never hurts to ask the raid group.

True on the PUG group Drago, but I'm a big believer in etiquette and I guess I'll just wait until Mod 9 so folks don't have to wait on my slow ass for crafting. Likely I'll only be able to craft at the medium level since I don't have enough large materials. Anyhow, thanks for the respone Drago.

Tylek, one other thought, since you don't want to complete, and you don't want to feel like you are making everyone wait ...

Do only part of the crafting?

Organize the pieces ahead of time in one of your inventory slots, which I do. One row across is the five things that go in.

Either just make the 3 "things", or if the pre-raid organizaition helps enough, go ahead and finish it.

If you don't finish, you may be able to finish on the next shroud you do, since you won't have much to mix on that run, either.

Just a thought.

Due to the unusually long time we have waited for other guildies on past runs to log-on, here's how I'm doing the Saturday Shroud Run:

The start time is 10am est-all guildies who are on by this time will be invited to join.

At 10am, any remaining slots will be pugged out. If you log in after 10am-you may or may not get in. This past Saturday (May 2) we filled the remaining slots in 5 minutes.

So, be prompt and let's get a X-only Shroud run together!

In light of differing attitudes toward timeliness, perhaps it would be more satisfying to more members if a specific member (different each time), was assigned to lead each Saturday. Even though I'm rarely on during weekends, I could get family clearance to participate, and occasionally lead, a Shroud run.

I'll have to miss these until about the end of June, as I have an errand every Saturday at 11 EST until then. (Taking my daughter to her tennis lessons.)

One thought, if so many people can't make it at 10, is to plan for a little later. That may work better for some, and worse for others. Work it out together, because rarely does one way work for all.

Also, if the 10 EST is too soon for some, we have enough good people to lead to do one at 10, and do another at 11 EST. True, neither will be X only, but both could be almost half-X ... the rest pugged out.

These are options to consider, and are offered in the hope that we can find something to help everyone enjoy both Saturday and the Shroud more!
