What are XP runs?

Glad you asked. Several of us have learned how to "milk a run" for XP. No, we are not referring to killing everything in the quest, which can get you a 25% bonus (which is very nice!). Nor am I referring to breaking enough breakables (10% bonus) or disabling enough traps (10% bonus) or finding enough secret doors (another 10% bonus).

All of those are good to do on any quest in which you are not time-limited. If you are time-limited, there are some quests which are great at dealing out xp, and can be easily repeated.

For example: In Tangleroot, there a 2 parts where you have to basically get to the inner sanctum, and those 2 can be done over and over (no limit to number of times) for any party. Yes, you get less xp each time you do it, so do it once on normal (25% bonus), once on hard (25% bonus) and once on elite (50% bonus) at least, for each of these and get about 3k more xp or better. The way to repeat them while doing the quest series, is to finish it, enter the next area, and then recall out. Once everyone is out, re-enter the cave, selecting the difficulty level you want!

There are others like these, please list for folks, and have a great time leveling!

Just a thought for some of you ...

If you do the tangleroot series, and break every breakable and kill every creature ... I want you to know we did that when the game first came out and there was much less content. It took us about 2 to 3 and 1/2 hours to complete the series ONCE!

Now, some of us have learned, that you can do the COMPLETE SERIES in much less than 1 hour. That means if you want xp, or the end reward or favor, you can get MUCH MORE ACCOMPLISHED in the same amount of time. Much more XP, more favor and more LOOT.

Forget the breakables, especially if they take up time.
Forget the optionals, especially if they take up time.
Kill what must be killed, ignore/run from the rest.
If our time together on Eberron helps make us better people on Earth, it is worth it.
